This is book 3 on the Blood & Roses series and its amazing!!!!

Callie is brilliant!! And this series is pure genius!!!! We get tons of answers in this one, but we get so many more questions!! The story picks up right where book 2, Fracture, ended. The book is well written, the characters continue to grow and we get to see more into Zeth's past. The story keeps getting more and more interesting and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

"And you’re not the girl stupid enough to let me do anything. You’re the girl stupid enough to not see what’s standing right in front of her.” Zeth

Sloane surprised me when she got the chance to stand up for herself not only to Zeth but to Julio as well. And lets just say she brings out the big guns!!!!! Zeth kept surprising me with each passing chapter. That man, wow, I have no words!!!! He kept showing Sloane that there is more to him that how people see him. And that their dysfunctional "relationship" is so much more than what she thinks it is.

"How is it that a man like him, a man made to be a weapon of mass destruction and little else, has seen more in us than I have?" Sloane

There are so many twists and turns that you don't see coming, and you just never know what Callie is going to hit you with next. Just when you think you have figured out what's going on, she throws you another curveball and you are back to square one and second guessing the characters and their choices.

The last 15-20% of the book I was in a panic. They were action packed and for a second there I thought all hope was lost. I kept screaming OMG, OMG and clutching my kindle to my chest. That ending, wow, I can't believe it!! I can't wait to see what happens next. To say that Callie is great at the suspense part is putting it lightly. Her books are a roller coaster of emotions and I can't recommend them enough. Grab your copy of Burn and if you still have not read this series get to it. Its so sooo good!!!!

One thing that was frustrating about this story was how such a supposedly intelligent woman, Sloane could be so stupid on many occasions. Firstly she sells her virginity via a very shady PI in order to gain information on her sister who has been kidnapped and then she goes by herself to a house where this same guy has asked her to meet him, yes the same guy whom she knows bought her virginity 2 years earlier. Why this doctor knowing this man bought her and then has consensual sex with him again at his own orgy, (yes such an upstanding guy), well it was just silly and yeah really dumb!!!! No one in their right mind would do that and it made it story a bit ridiculous to be honest and unbelievable. The scene where Sloane and Zeth strip naked and have sex in the hallway of a brothel was also really another stupid thing for Sloane to agree to. She just a very stupid character actually, I just kept rolling my eyes every time she got herself into another mess. Every time she laid her wyes on Zeth, her brain took a vacation!!!

So Burn was everything I hoped it would be and more. I LOVE Sloane, when she stood up to Julio was epic and so unlike her. So proud of the person she is becoming and so happy Zeth is making her that way. Also I was proud of Zeth in SOO many ways this time around. He made HUGE strides. Not killing people, communicating with Sloane and actually trying. It was very nice seeing that other side of Zeth. And again the sex WAS HOT!!! ugh! loved when Sloane took control it was hot and epic. Again there were so many twists and turns and surprises along the road to find Alexis! and AGAIN the end was like OMG WOW!!! blew me away AGAIN! I don't wanna give too much away, but it was as epic as the rest, if not more and I cannot wait for more. Still one of my most favorite series EVER. It's simply amazing and I love the characters more and more each installment.

May I add it had MANY hilarious moments in the book and Zeth was certainly more humorous and alive this time around. LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND. Could NOT put it down once I started <3
