The Night Market Jonathan Moore Books

Excellent. Stylish. It reminds me heavily of Blade Runner, but with that classic Jonathan Moore feel. His previous two books in this San Francisco-based, loosely connected trilogy of sorts took place in the present day, but this one fast forwards to a dystopian future where San Francisco is a shell of its former self.
It feels connected to the other two but by no means are they required reading before this one (although I highly recommend them). For the eagle eyed reader, you may spot many references to past events/people/things from the other books. I enjoyed the callbacks, however few and far between they were.
This is a brilliantly written novel that left me with goosebumps. I didn't want it to end. A must read for fans of the thriller genre. If you read The Poison Artist and The Dark Room, and enjoyed them, this is more of the same but in the best way possible. Jonathan Moore knows how to keep you guessing.

The Night Market Jonathan Moore Books Reviews

Great read, lyrical in spots, electrifying in others. Great reveal at the end eith options for a sequel or series. Highky recommended.
It was just okay. The subject seemed kind of hokey to me along with the flat characters. Basically a run of the mill cop story with a not so interesting twist.
A bit confusing in the beginning but a fast read once I understood some of what was going on. It gives a person a lot to think about when placed against our modern world.
Likable characters, but the plot was too weird. And it didn't result in a satisfying, either.
Plot twists and coincidences turn this into a joke after 200 pages.
Wow, I'm not sure just what to say about this. It's very very strange for one thing. I just got immediately hooked on the story and stayed with it right to the end. At the end is where I found I really wasn't terribly positive what the heck just happened!? It seems there could be several different interpretations if the reader is prone to think it through. Along the way the characters, and the telling of the story itself are done by a pro. Alas, at this point it is just a story, and I for one, truly hope this is not the future. Quite a story indeed.
Moments in this book are reminiscent of the movie Dark City, of the Matrix, of Philip K. Dick and the world of Blade Runner, of first-wave noir. But it’s totally original nonetheless. Settings are extremely vivid and characters are relatively complex for the noir genre. Dystopic, paranoid and descriptive, it keeps you wondering and turning the pages. I would say it functions not just as a story set in the future, but as a cautionary tale about the moment we are living in now.
